Black Ops Teases Are Flooding Call Of Duty: Warzone Matches

It looks like Activision is almost ready for the reveal of its next Call of Duty game, as more and more teases have popped up within the free-to-play Battle Royale, Warzone.

As reported by VGC, players of Warzone have been hit with random scrambled messages during their matches, including the ominous phrase, “know your history.” This is more than likely a reference to the alleged Cold War setting of the next unannounced game. Check out one example in the tweet below.

Hopefully this means that a reveal is coming sooner rather than later, as we’re already getting closer and closer to the October/November launch that the Call of Duty series tends to stick to.

We’ve been hearing rumours of Call of Duty 2020 for a while now, with most (if not all rumours) pointing to the name “Call of Duty: Blacks Ops Cold War.” It’s believed that Warzone and Modern Warfare will tie into the upcoming title, which is a smart move to bring in the players.

Following the launch of Season Five, players have quickly discovered that a number of locked doors within the Stadium can be opened with keycards. In the video below, you can see CoD gamer SallyIsADog scoop a couple from a pile of loot.

Accessing one of the locked rooms reveals a computer which shows what appears to be a string of random numbers and glyphs. It’s not all too clear what exactly the meaning of this is, but it’s almost definitely a hint towards the future of Call of Duty and its Cold War setting.

Just what in the heck is going on here, and more importantly, when will we find out about Activision’s next Call of Duty game?!
