Marvel’s Avengers delivers something Hulk fans have been waiting for. The chance to yet again duke it out with one of Hulk’s greatest enemies in video game form. I’m talking, of course, about Abomination. You can watch the two beat seven shades of green out of each other in the video below.
The footage is captured from the Marvel’s Avengers beta, so it might look a bit different upon its final release. It’s a good gauge of what combat gameplay is like for The Hulk. You hit big and pack a lot of power and are definitely at your most lethal up close.

It feels like the kind of game where, if it clicks for you, you will spend a long time with it. If you’ve ever looked at people that play the likes of Destiny, The Division and MMOs regularly and felt jealous then good news. Marvel’s Avengers seems like ticks a lot of the replayability boxes those games do. It needs a bit more variety in its environments and mission types but I’m hoping that the limitation was more due to it being a beta than anything else.
There’s a lot of potential but there’s still room for improvement. With the recent announcement of Spider-Man being a PlayStation exclusive fans seem divided on the game more than before. Luckily the upcoming betas will help them decide whether or not they keep their pre-orders.
RELEASE DATE
Marvel’s Avengers releases on September 4th. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia, with it coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at a later date.
