Call of Duty 2020 Leak ‘Reveals First Trailer Details’

Call of Duty: Warzone may have only just landed, but already buzz for the next CoD game has begun. One of the latest rumours surrounding the upcoming addition to the lucrative franchise comes from known Activision leaker, TheGamingRevolution, who has a pretty good track record when it comes to leaks.

As reported by ComicBook, TheGamingRevolution claims that the 2020 CoD reveal trailer will be coming “next month,” which definitely makes sense if you look at the past reveals of titles in the series.

It’s also claimed that a reveal was planned for April, though this was delayed due to the global pandemic.

The Gaming Revolution’s claims are also supported by fellow CoD leaker Long Sensation, who says that the game will be set in Vietnam and is due to be revealed in May.

Though the CoD series is known for using different development studios for each yearly addition to the franchise, it’s rumoured that 2020’s title has been split across two development teams. It’s claimed that the multiplayer is being tackled by Sledgehammer Games, while the campaign will be handled by Treyarch.

As always with leaks and rumours, take them with a pinch of salt for now.

Just last week, TheGamingRevolution also claimed 2020’s CoD won’t bear the Black Ops title as was previously rumoured – either as 5 or a reboot – though it could possibly tie into the BO lore somehow.

Despite allegedly dropping the Black Ops name, the game is rumoured to still be set in Cold War era, with a focus on the Vietnam War.

In the same video (which you can watch below) YouTuber dkdynamite said that Sledgehammer Games had plans for a Vietnam-based game since the 2010s, but the project was shelved with plans to return to it at a later date.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see what Activision has planned for Call of Duty 2020!
