It was a nice glimpse into how the campaign would look for sure but that wasn’t the only CoD announcement. We also found out when we would be getting to play the Alpha of Black Ops Cold War and it turns out it’s soon!

There’s a catch though. Are you ready for it?

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Alpha is a PlayStation 4 Exclusive

“Boooooo” I hear you shout with your Xbox controller or mouse and keyboard in hand. I know it’s frustrating but, if you’re a PlayStation 4 owner, here’s what to expect on the exclusive Alpha weekend.

Quick interesting side-note before diving in though. Apparently if you’re in Japan or Germany you’ll have to pay a nominal fee for access to the Alpha according to PlayStation blog.

The Alpha weekend will include multiple modes, maps and also a preview of the Create-a-Class and Scorestreak systems. If you want to download it then you can pre-load it from September 17th at 8am PDT.

The Alpha starts at 10am PDT on September 18th and will conclude at 10am PDT on September 20th.
