The free access week will run from this Thursday on February 25th and will end on Thursday, March 4th. The free trial will begin at 6pm UK time/1pm ET/10am PT.

To take part in the free access week all you have to do is download the free trial from your digital platform store of choice and then you’ll be able to enjoy select multiplayer and Zombies content.

Included in the free trial is the new Zombies mode, Outbreak. This sadly however is currently exclusive to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

According to the Activision blog post, Outbreak “takes place across massive play spaces throughout the Ural Mountains, packed with new enemies, team objectives, player rewards, and Intel to discover on foot, in vehicles, or by jump pads”.

In terms of more traditional multiplayer modes, players will be able to access the Apocalypse 24/7 playlist which features Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed.

However, players will also be able to access both Team Deathmatch and Domination as separate playable modes outside of the playlist.

The trial also includes the 40-player Fireteam mode, Gun Game which is a 3v3 free-for-all mode, 2v2 Gunfight Blueprints mode, as well as the new Apocalypse map.

As always whenever a free trial or season arrives players will be able to receive a variety of XP boosts when playing the Call of Duty multiplayer.

Players will be able to earn double XP and double weapon XP for 72 hours beginning on February 26th for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
