It’s official, the next Season of both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and its free-to-play counterpart, Warzone, will land tonight (unless you’re in the UK, which gets the new content at 7am tomorrow).
The news comes direct from Infinity Ward, who took to Twitter with the following announcement: “Intel Incoming on Season Four. New #ModernWarfare and #Warzone content is live tonight, June 10th @ 11PM PDT!”
The news comes as a surprise-drop, following last week’s delay of the new Season’s launch. Both Infinity Ward and Activision released a statement on the decision to delay the game in light of the Black Lives Matter protests taking place across the world.
“While we all look forward to playing the new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time,” read the statement.
“We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates. Right now it’s time for those speaking up for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard. We stand alongside you.”
There’s no word yet on just how big the next content drop will be, but considering how meaty some of the recent patches have been, you might want to spend the next few hours clearing your hard drive…
More to follow when patch notes are released.
