Activision and Infinity Ward’s next addition to the CoD lineup is the only game anyone’s talking about right now, and for good reason.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is shaping up to be one seriously impressive game thanks to its new features, darker gameplay and its insane attention to detail.

Every new thing we hear about the game is just making us want it even more – especially since it’s now been confirmed that Modern Warfare will support mouse and keyboard use on console.
In a blog post on the PlayStation website, the discussion of how the game will balance cross-play between those playing CoD on console and those playing on PC came up.
“One of the main ways is that we are planning on matchmaking based on peripheral,” Design Director Joe Cecot said. “We’re also supporting different peripherals, so if you want to plug a keyboard [and mouse] into your PS4, you can.”
The notion of cross-play is a first for the Call of Duty series, but to find out that you can use a keyboard and mouse with your PS4 is definitely going to excite a LOT of hardcore players of the game.
The blog post also went on to clarify some need-to-know information about Modern Warfare‘s maps, confirming that there’ll be three sizes available to play in.
“‘Flash Maps’ are designed for close-quarters 2v2 Gunfight matches,” states the blog.
“‘Tactical Maps’ support more traditional 6v6 and 10v10 player counts. ‘Battle Maps’ are reserved for the largest-scale gameplay. We played it via 20v20 matches, but the team said they’ll support more than 100 players!”
The designs of the maps will also take inspiration from classic deathmatch games, so keep your eyes peeled for Easter eggs.
