Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Multiplayer Maps Will Be Very Different

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is shaping up to be something seriously impressive, and from what we’ve heard so far we could be looking at one of the best CoD games of all time.

Over on Twitter, the game’s narrative director, Taylor Kurosaki, has been pretty vocal with snippets of information about the upcoming title, and he’s yet again been answering some very interesting fan questions.

When responding to a fan about the yet-be-revealed multiplayer maps being the three-lane maps CoD fans are all a little bored of, Kurosaki seemingly confirmed that they won’t all be of that type.

However, for those who are big fans of the three-lane design, Kurosaki seems to be hinting that they won’t be entirely absent from the game, writing: “I didn’t say no 3 lane maps.”

How very interesting!

Thankfully, we probably won’t have to wait until the game’s release to hear more about these maps, as Infinity Ward will be revealing Modern Warfare‘s multiplayer mode in just a week’s time.

A special livestream will be hosted on August 1 to talk all things multiplayer, which means we’re probably going to be getting to see it in all its glory.

The Call of Duty games have been criticised in the past for being too similar, so it’s going to be seriously exciting to see what Infinity Ward has done to mix up the tried-and-tested formula.

Activision has stated of the game: “The stakes have never been higher as players take on the role of lethal Tier One operators in a heart-racing saga that will affect the global balance of power.

“Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® engulfs fans in an incredibly raw, gritty, provocative narrative that brings unrivaled intensity and shines a light on the changing nature of modern war. Developed by the studio that started it all, Infinity Ward delivers an epic reimagining of the iconic Modern Warfare series from the ground up.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare arrives October 25th, 2019.
