Activision Leaks Call Of Duty: Outbreak, Confirms Open-World Zombies Mode

Call of Duty: Outbreak has seemingly been confirmed with a leak, however, it’s not from an industry insider or an unnamed source, but instead from Activision itself.

Usually, we’d always say take rumours with a pinch of salt, and despite still advising to slightly sit on the side of caution, this accidental leak is just about as concrete as it gets without an official announcement being made.

The news was brought to our attention by Twitter user TheGamingRevolution. The CoD fan spotted the accidental leak on the official Call of Duty website.

The new Cold War Zombies Outbreak mode was just accidentally confirmed on Call of Duty’s website! Trailer soon!” said TheGamingRevolution.

The tweet was accompanied by an image. It shows the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War logo, with a horde of zombies clambering down some stairs.

Text at the bottom of the image reads: “Welcome to Outbreak – A New Large Scale Zombies Experience.” An icon to watch the trailer is also present.

With this accidental leak it’s likely only a matter of time until Activision makes the announcement officially. It’s safe to expect a gameplay trailer too.

In a recent Reddit post, details on the Outbreak mode were also supposedly leaked. The post claimed to reveal enemy types, fast travel, weapon blueprints, free-roam areas and more.

Again, I would say to take these particular rumours with a pinch of salt, although they do appear to be genuine.
