Call Of Duty: Warzone Finally Gets 120 FPS Boost On PS5

Finally, Call of Duty: Warzone has received a patch for PlayStation 5 boosting the performance to 120 FPS in time for season 4.

For months gamers on PC and Xbox Series X have been enjoying a super smooth 120 FPS experience while playing Call of Duty: Warzone.

That said, while Call of Duty: Warzone on Xbox Series X doesn’t always run at a consistent 120 FPS as it often dips to around 100 FPS, it’s still better than what PS5 players had been getting.

As covered by Game Rant, it’s believed a reason as to why this PS5 patch has taken so long to arrive was due to the next-gen console having issues with the PS4 backward compatibility. Thankfully it seems that the PS5 has finally caught up to its rival console. Rejoice!

However, as detailed in the Season 4 update patch notes Warzone, not all PS5 players will benefit from the 120 FPS upgrade. To benefit from the 120 FPS boost on PS5 you will need an HDMI 2.1 cord, otherwise, it will be 60FPS.

The season 4 update for Warzone also adds five new multiplayer maps, five new weapons, new quests in Outbreak, various bug fixes and more. The update comes in at around 11GB and should be ready when you next fire up Warzone.
