‘Can You Pet The Dog’ Has A New Twitter – All About Waterfalls

The infamous Twitter account, Can You Pet The Dog, has expanded to explore even more video game phenomena. In case you’re not aware, Can You Pet The Dog explores whether or not dogs are pettable in a range of games, from your AAA adventures to your niche indie titles. It’s become so popular, that game devs are actually changing their games to make their four-legged friends pettable. N’awww.

In celebration of CYPTD’s first birthday, another account has been made by the same creator – Is Something Behind The Waterfall?

ISBTW explores – you guessed it – whether or not there’s something behind the waterfall in your favourite games.

Despite being a relatively new account, there’s already over 30,000 people who are eagerly awaiting news of what’s behind the waterfall, and it’s honestly pretty charming stuff.

The idea of something hiding behind a waterfall is a time-old tradition in gaming, and it’s great to see the trope see some representation in modern day media.

For example, did you know there’s a moon behind the waterfall in Super Mario Odyssey?

What about the shrine behind the waterfall in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild?

Speaking of Can You Pet The Dog, if you’re the sort of crazy person who doesn’t like dogs, you’ll be glad to know that the account rules are relaxed each and every Friday. So if you want to know about pettable pods, horses, and…space cats…then you’re still going to get a kick out of this Twitter account.

If you’re not already following Can You Pet The Dog you can do so here, and don’t forget the newly-emerging Is Something Behind The Waterfall, which you can follow here.

Are there any other Did You Know accounts you’d like to see on Twitter?
