Resident Evil 7 had one of the most terrifying and head-scratching demos of all time, but could Resident Evil Village be getting the same treatment? A new rumour seems to suggest a demo could happen, and it comes straight from Capcom itself.

The official Twitter account for Resident Evil recently invited players to give their feedback on what we’ve seen of the upcoming game so far, and one of the questions asked players if a demo is something they’d like to see.
The survey asks: “How likely would you be to try a demo of the newest Resident Evil game?”

That’s not the only time a demo is raised during the survey, though. A later questions asks: “What impacts your decision for buying a game? Please select all the apply.” Along with options including “reviews,” “pre-order bonuses” and “trailer videos,” there’s also the choice of selecting “demo version of the game.”
Of course this isn’t proof that a demo is coming, but perhaps if enough people mention it in their survey, it could definitely be a possibility!

Resident Evil Village is due to land sometime in 2021 for both PC and next-gen consoles. The game’s official description reads as follows: “Experience survival horror like never before in the eighth major installment in the storied Resident Evil franchise – Resident Evil Village.
“Set a few years after the horrifying events in the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 7 biohazard, the all-new storyline begins with Ethan Winters and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location, free from their past nightmares. Just as they are building their new life together, tragedy befalls them once again.”
