It has been announced that the Capcom Showcase will air next week. The summer game reveal event will feature updates on all their upcoming titles.
As we all know, summer is the time where game studios reveal what they’re currently working on. With the Ubisoft Forward airing next week, Capcom will be following suit by holding their own event.
What To Expect
The Showcase livestream will run for “roughly 36 minutes” and will feature “news and updates on our latest games.”
Capcom is yet to reveal which titles will be mentioned but we can perhaps expect news from upcoming games such as Exoprimal and Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Exoprimal is a dinosaur-themed third-person shooter that releases next month whereas Dragon’s Dogma 2 was first announced during last month’s PlayStation Showcase.
Additionally, we could see some news about the Separate Ways expansion for the much-loved Resident Evil 4 Remake. This will be the perfect side-story for fans of the mysterious Ada Wong as the expansion was previously seen in the original RE4 game.
Capcom Showcase Air Date
The Capcom Showcase livestream will air on Monday June 12 at 11PM BST, 3PM PDT and 6PM ET, according to the official website.
The event which also celebrates Capcom’s 40th anniversary will include a program lineup which will release closer to the air date.
With an already successful year under their belt with the launch of Resident Evil 4 and Street Fighter 6, the company is going from strength to strength. As a result, hearing what else they have planned is sure to be exciting.
For now, all we can do is wait and see what the rest of 2023 holds for Capcom.
