Riot Games has confirmed that a new Team Deathmatch mode will be arriving to their popular first-person shooter Valorant very soon. Here’s what we know.
Valorant is one of the most-loved first-person shooters on the market right now. Launched back in 2020, the game has gone from strength to strength despite still being fairly new. Now with the upcoming arrival of Episode 7, a Team Deathmatch (TDM) mode will be added alongside.
Valorant Team Deathmatch Will Be Arriving Soon
This news comes courtesy of Riot Games’ latest “Dev Diaries” update. It is here that the game director Andy Ho revealed that Valorant’s take on TDM will be available in-game when Episode 7 rolls around.
For those who are new to the game, Valorant’s ‘seasons’ are split into Episodes so you can expect the mode with the next big update.
“It will be a fast-paced mode featuring tactical gunplay with weapons across the arsenal, agents and their abilities and new maps built specifically for the mode.”
What else is new for episode 7
The announcement trailer also reveals that there will be other changes coming with the new Episode, specifically “big changes to progression.”
Episode 7 will allow you a way to unlock accessories and items from previous battle passes. This will be good for both newcomers and people who missed out previously. There will also be a new way to unlock agents.
Not only that but there will be two new agents arriving to Valorant before the end of 2023. The first will be a Sentinel “who will stop you dead in your tracks and pull you in for a closer look.” Secondly, a new Duelist will join the agent roster later on in the year.
We will be sure to update you about these two new arrivals when we receive more news.
Although Valorant Episode 7 hasn’t received an official launch date, it can be assumed it will release around Tuesday June 27.
