CD Projekt Red Unveils First Look At Cyberpunk 2077 Boss Fight

CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be a helluva ride when it finally lands on store shelves, but for now we’re having to get our fix from tidbits thrown out on social media by those behind the game.

We’ve heard and seen a lot of Cyberpunk since its first gameplay reveal last year, but we’ve not really got to see too much regarding boss battles in the game – until now that is.

The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account has delivered the goods and shared a screenshot of one of the game’s Big Baddies, and it looks as intense as you’d expect.

The image above shows Sasquatch, the leader of Night City’s Animals gang, brandishing a pretty gnarly-looking hammer that’s almost definitely going to be a challenge for players.

The boss battle with Sasquatch was shown off in all its glory during a closed-doors demo for press during E3 2019, but for now we’ll have to just deal with this single screenshot.

Hopefully we’ll be seeing some more of Cyberpunk 2077 during Gamescom later this month. Here’s hoping!

In other Cyberpunk 2077 news it’s been confirmed that the game will skip pre-order bonuses to ensure all of its players get to enjoy the same content.

*Cue the audible sigh of relief from gamers across the world.*

During a Twitter conversation that was then shared to Reddit [via Twisted Voxel], CD Projekt Red said that in-game content will be the same for everyone.

“No, we don’t do that,” said the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account “Every person that buys the game gets exactly the same in-game content, no matter if they buy it in preorders, on release date or 2 years later.”

Of course, there are the fancy editions if you want to make your Cyberpunk 2077 purchase a little more exciting, but all the bonuses you’ll get (depending on which edition you’re after) will be physical items like art books, pins, statues and postcards.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be releasing on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, April 16 2020.
