Classic Final Fantasy Games Are Being Remastered for Console

Last night we were treated to one of the best Nintendo Directs in a long, long time. Honestly, the line-up that was revealed was second to none, and one of the biggest announcements is the HUGE news that several classic Final Fantasy titles are headed to the Nintendo Switch!

Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 9 and Final Fantasy 10 are all set to make their Nintendo Switch debuts sometimes in 2019. Although there’s no set dates in place as of yet, with three titles coming it’s safe to assume you’ll be getting more than enough Final Fantasy in 2019.

The three titles will be available as digital downloads from the Nintendo eShop. Hopefully we’ll be seeing more Final Fantasy classics headed to the Switch too…maybe show some love for FF 8, Nintendo?

In other Final Fantasy news, the Nintendo Direct revealed that Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age will also be dropping on the Switch next year, and if you still need more FF in your life then World of Final Fantasy Maximum and more Chocobo Dungeons are also going to be released. Hooray!

2019 is shaping up to be an excellent year already, especially for Nintendo. Along with the Final Fantasy news, Nintendo also revealed a 2019 release for the highly-anticipated fan-favourite Animal Crossing for the Switch, as well as Luigi’s Mansion 3!

Nintendo fans have been clamouring for those of these titles on the console since it first launched, and although it was pretty much guaranteed, it’s reassuring to know that they’ll both be coming out sooner rather than later.

What we want to know is will there be a limited edition Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch released too? It’s not too far-fetched to imagine, as a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and a Pokemon console have already been announced for release later this year…
