If you’re planning on picking up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on PC or on Xbox One then Activision’s got some bad news for you, as the company has confirmed that PlayStation 4 players will be getting a day one advantage.
Unfortunately the publisher has yet to reveal just what that advantage will be, simply promising an announcement coming “soon.”
We already know that Sony sees huge importance in exclusivity deals so really this doesn’t come as too much of a surprise. The CoD: Modern Warfare multiplayer beta was first rolled out to PlayStation players over other gamers, after all.
ICYMI, check out the multiplayer trailer below.
Writing of multiplayer, Activision said: “In the ultimate online playground, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare delivers the most revolutionary Multiplayer of the series yet.
“With best-in-class down-the-barrel gameplay, and the most weapon choices in Call of Duty history, Modern Warfare brings unmatched intensity and authenticity to its familiar but fresh experience.”

Modern Warfare is set to be one of the biggest releases of 2019, with millions of players already clamouring for the “darker and grittier” take on the beloved franchise.
Thanks to an ESRB rating description for the game we know a little of just how dark the campaign is expected to get, and yeah, it’s pretty intense.
Just a few of the more harrowing elements included in the title include dismemberment, the death of children, intense blood spatter, decapitation and waterboarding. Infinity Ward definitely isn’t messing around with Modern Warfare!

Regardless of what you’ll be playing the game on, it’s set to be one of the biggest and best titles in the whole series.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be launching for PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 25, 2019.
