The much-anticipated Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 is somewhere on the horizon. Luckily, we will see it featured at this year’s Summer Game Fest.
Despite no release date for Phantom Liberty, the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC is on every gamer’s radar. The first DLC for the 2020 action RPG, it will feature a brand-new story and a surprise appearance from award-winning actor Idris Elba.
With news scarce on what we can expect from Phantom Liberty, Projekt Red has announced that the DLC will be making an appearance at the Summer Game Fest 2023.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC Will Feature At Summer Game Fest
The Summer Game Fest will kick off on June 8 and will see guest appearances from studios such as Capcom, Behaviour Interactive, Square Enix, Niantic Labs, Developer Digital and more.
Most importantly for now, CD Projekt Red will be there. This news comes courtesy of a Tweet from the official account that marks their attendance at the event as well as the news the DLC will be part of Play Days.
Play Days means it will be available for guests to get a taste of the game. As of now, they haven’t specified whether this will mean press or the general public.
Phantom Liberty – What To Expect
As mentioned, not much is currently known about the major DLC. What we do know is that it will follow our protagonist V as she teams up with Elba’s Solomon Reed. Together they must “team up and take on an impossible mission of espionage and survival.”
Hopefully we will learn a lot more about its content at the Summer Game Fest. Until then, we can look forward to a general 2023 release date.
