Dark Souls Developer says its Next Game Will be Even Harder

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the upcoming game which is being made by FromSoftware. These guys not only made the Dark Souls but Bloodborne as well. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was announced this year at E3 along with a mechanic that made people think it would be easier than Dark Souls and alike. The resurrection mechanic is what made fans think that it would be ‘easy mode’. However the developers told GameSpot that the game will “probably even more challenging than previous FromSoftware games.”

Hidetaka Miyazaki also said this about the upcoming game:

If you are that player who likes to take their time and carefully piece things together and learn the enemies’ weaknesses and positioning, and observe everything, you’re going to have a great time. It’s that sense of discovery as you explore the three-dimensional maps–you’re going to find something, maybe a new prosthetic tool that makes you think, ‘Hey, why don’t I use this against that enemy?’ When that clicks and when it works, that’s going to be the sense of satisfaction for that player.

“Whereas the other [player] who just likes to rush in there, go katana-on-katana and feel that blade-to-blade, blow-by-blow gameplay, they’re going to feel that intensity. They’re going to get that really high level challenge that’s probably even more challenging than previous From games. So we feel everyone’s going to be able to have something to suit them.

If you aren’t familiar with the game then it is a game which is set in Japan. You, the player, take control of a Shinobi (A Shinobi is basically a ninja and are deemed dishonourable by the samurai.). This Shinobi that you play as was left for dead after this lord was kidnapped and his arm cut off. The missing arm is then replaced by a prosthetic and then named Sekiro, or “the one-armed wolf”. This prosthetic allows you to add tools and gadgets to help you fight on your way to rescuing your lord. Along with the prosthetic you also have a katana.

Doesn’t this sound fun? But also now very difficult. We will have to wait and see.
