The Diablo 4 Beta date has now been announced for all players who have preordered the game.
Diablo 4 was announced way back in 2019. A sequel to 2012’s Diablo 3, the game features returning features such as procedurally generated dungeons, and loot-focused character-building, as well as new open-world and PvP systems being introduced.
And now we also know when the Diablo 4 beta date will take place. This news came courtesy of Diablo 4’s director Joe Shely during IGN Fan Fest. He told IGN that the game’s beta will be available a few months before the game’s full release in June. Those who have preordered the game will have access to the game between March 17th and March 19th. Those who haven’t pre-ordered will be able to play the open beta from March 24-26.
Shely also shared an opening cinematic video for the game featuring a custom character made through the character creator. The trailer also shows a “significant look at the game” and features both the prologue and first act. Players will be able to get their characters to level 25 and both main and side quests are available in the ‘Fractured Peaks’ zone.
Furthermore, the beta will have no time limit but progress will not carry over to the full game. However, it is currently unclear if progress will carry across the two beta periods.
diablo 4 beta date – What else to expect

In Blizzard’s quarterly update for the game, Shely assured fans that Diablo 4 won’t be ‘pay-to-win’. This means that only cosmetics can be bought with real money as opposed to buying character abilities and upgrades. Director of product, Kagan Clark explained the in-game shop:
“The Shop sells cosmetics for Premium Currency. Cosmetics give players even more options to customize the visual appearance of their characters. Nothing offered in the Shop grants a direct or indirect gameplay advantage. So, while many of these may look like powerful pieces of gear, they have no in-game stats.”
Diablo 4 is set for full release on June 6. Players who have preordered the game (either ultimate or deluxe versions) will have early access as of June 2. The title will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The beta will also be available on these platforms.
