If you’re a normal human being then you probably love The Office US because, let’s face it, it’s undeniably the best television series to ever grace our screens (don’t come for me).
If the antics of Michael Scott, Kevin, Jim, Creed and the rest of the Dunder Mifflin crew are a regular part of your viewing schedule then you might be in luck, because Dish Network is looking to pay someone some serious dollar to binge-watch the beloved show.
In celebration of The Office’s 15th birthday on March 24, Dish Network is offering the chance for you to binge 15 episodes of the show in exchange for a cool $1000 USD, as well as some other nifty giftys like a Netflix gift card and some Dunder Mifflin swag (which, sadly, doesn’t mean “Stuff We All Get” in this instance).
Over on Dish Network’s website, the company explains: “The person who lands the gig will have 9 days to watch 15 hours of The Office (roughly 45 episodes). As you’re watching, you’ll need to complete a checklist that tallies the number of common tropes that occur throughout each episode.
“For instance, how many times does Stanley roll his eyes at the camera? How often does Phyllis talk about Bob Vance from Vance Refrigeration? The goal is to help us understand how often sitcoms repeat popular tropes. We’ll provide you with general guidelines to track your experience, but in true Kelly Kapoor fashion, we also want you to share your unfiltered opinions and reactions on social media.”
If you want to apply, or know someone who definitely needs this in their life, you’ve got until Monday, March 16 at 5 P.M. MST.
