In an interview with Vandal (translated by IGN), it has been revealed that the co-creator of the Dishonored series is working on a brand new game.
Dishonored is a game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda. Both the original and its sequel were met with high critical acclaim from their players, and still have a solid following to this day.
The co-creator of the Dishonored series, Harvey Smith, is working on an unannounced new game at Arkane Austin. Smith will also be joined by fellow developers that worked on Prey as well as Dishonored.
At this moment Arkane Studios is working on Deathloop, which is set to release for PC and PS5 this year on May 21st. The game is a timed PlayStation console exclusive, despite Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda parent company, ZeniMax Studios.
During the interview with Vandal, Smith stated that he is not working on Deathloop, but he is working on an unannounced new game.
Smith said: “I’m not on Deathloop , I’m on something else, working with the guys who made Dishonored and Prey.“
It’s not quite known for sure at this time if this unannounced game is a new IP or perhaps a third instalment of Dishonored. Personally I am hoping that it’s the latter!
