Dying Light 2 New Game Plus Finally Arrives This Week

It’s taken a while, but New Game Plus finally arrives in Dying Light 2: Stay Human this week via a free update. Happy days!

Earlier this month, Techland announced that New Game Plus will be coming to Dying Light 2 in a matter of weeks. So, the developers are now delivering on that promise with Update 1.3.0.

New Game Plus will allow Dying Light 2 players that have finished the campaign to restart a new one and carry over their progression stats and more. However, if you think that will make your time in the city of Villedor any easier, then think again.

Dying Light 2 features scaling difficulty, meaning that the hostile inhabitants of the city will level up alongside you. That being said, replaying Dying Light 2 again will also grant you the choice of experiencing one of its other alternative endings.

What else does New Game Plus bring?

When players begin New Game Plus, they will be able to discover 30 new inhibitors hidden away within the city. Players will also be able to discover Golden Marks on the map. Upon discovering the Golden Mark, it will kickstart a special encounter for those that like to fight extra challenging foes.

New quests, challenges and encounters will be scattered around the city. According to the press release provided by Techland: “New challenges and encounters will reward players with greater “Legendary” weapon rarity and valuable items. But for those who prefer to collect titles over the prizes, Techland added a new platinum medal for parkour challenges, based on the gamers’ best results.

Update 1.3.0 will also fix a number of reported bugs. One such bug includes a death loop when playing co-op. Furthermore, console players (on PS5 and Xbox Series X only) can now benefit from a Field of View slider.

When will update 1.3.0 be available?

Finally, New Game Plus (and more) will arrive with Update 1.3.0 on Wednesday, April 27th across all available platforms.
