Showing off some new footage during a seriously impressive E3 2019 conference, CD Projekt Red announced the game will be releasing for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, April 16, 2020.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a dystopian RPG which takes place in a sprawling urban metropolis called Night City. The game is set in Northern California in the year 2077, and will have six distinct areas to explore.

The idea for Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t come directly from the studio, but instead is an existing pen-and-paper tabletop game called Cyberpunk, created by Mike Pondsmith and licensed by CD Projekt Red.

The game looks very similar to popular depictions of a futuristic and urban environment, seemingly having taken inspiration from the Blade Runner movies in particular.
