Take-Two CEO Says ‘No Downside’ To Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Release

Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 was one of the best games of 2018, winning over millions of fans and becoming an overnight classic.

The narrative-driven Western has now sold over 23 million copies as more and more people experience the amazing and heartbreaking tale of Arthur Morgan in this prequel to Red Dead Redemption.

The one slight issue with RDR2 is that it’s only available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, leaving PC gamers high and dry.

A PC release for RDR2 is something fans have been clamouring for since the game was first announced, and now Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has weighed in on whether or not it’s likely to happen.

During a recent investor briefing [via GameSpot], Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick spoke about the possibility of launching Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, saying: “There is no downside to releasing the game on PC.”

Unfortunately that was all that was said on the matter, though it does make it ever more likely that RDR2 will be launching on PC at some point in the future.

If the Take-Two top dog can’t see any issues or reasons as to why it shouldn’t happen – and if it’s going to bring in money for the company – it’s a pretty safe bet to say RDR2 will be coming to PC. The question is, when?

It’s likely we’ll hear more on the possibility as the months go on but for now we’ll just have to keep on wishing, hoping and dreaming.

At least we’ve got Red Dead Online to keep us occupied while we wait for more details. Did you know it has poker now?!
