Elden Ring Photo Mode Mod Turns The Game Into Cinematic Set Piece

Elden Ring doesn’t have a photo mode, but a new mod puts one in, and has a toggle that makes all the enemies a lot more chill.

Elden Ring FAQ: Every Guide You’ll Need

FromSoftware has easily made one of the best looking games this year. There has never been a more colourful Souls game than Elden Ring. But unfortunately, the game doesn’t come with a photo mode, meaning you can’t capture your Tarnished getting wrecked by a feral dog. Thankfully though, modder Frans “Otis_Inf” Bouma made an unofficial Elden Ring photo mode mod.

The mod is currently available to download for free until March 10 through Otis_Inf’s Patreon. Though it is important to note that you have to disable anti-cheat, which if you aren’t careful can result in a permanent ban from playing the game online.

The mod is very fleshed out, providing you a range of options to take photos in the game. It provides greater camera control, including cutscene. You can pause the game to capture specific shots. And you can control the speed of the game, allowing for slow-mo or sped up moments.

But perhaps the most fun aspect of the mod is the fact you can turn a setting on that makes your character invisible to enemies. The result is a very different world. One where you don’t see YOU DIED plastering your screen every so often.

Honestly, it would be great if this was an option on console too. Sometimes you just want to enjoy the scenery and not have to worry about some guy with a knife coming up behind you. Hopefully FromSoft will add in an official photo mode at some point, but for now, this will work great.
