ESPN is claiming to have a document that reveals everything about Overwatch 2, a game that’s yet to be formally revealed by Blizzard.
The news comes just a few weeks before Blizzard’s annual event, Blizzcon, which sees the company unveil all of its future plans, new games and more. It’s expected that the company will reveal Overwatch 2 then.
There’s been rumblings of an Overwatch 2 for a while now, but nothing set in concrete. However, it seems that ESPN is spilling all the beans after claiming to have a document revealing all about the upcoming game.
ESPN claims that Overwatch 2 will have a heavy focus on its PvE element, and will include a narrative and missions surrounding “a four-player story experience set in Rio de Janeiro.”
According to ESPN, there’ll also be a new mode called Push, complete with a new map which will be based around Toronto. One new Hero is also expected to join the battle.
It’s believed that Push and the PvE modes will be playable at BlizzCon following the game’s official announcement.
Of course, until we hear from Blizzard we have to take everything with a pinch of salt, but at least we don’t have too long to wait.
BlizzCon kicks off Friday, 1 November, and runs until Sunday, 3 November.
Another rumoured reveal from the event is Diablo 4, a game that’s been speculated about for months and months.
Spotted by German publication Gamestar.de, an upcoming – and officially-licensed – Diablo art book is on the way, and it happens to reference a game that hasn’t been revealed to the public yet: Diablo 4.
Gamestar reports that the book’s description at the time of writing stated [translated via Google]: “Featuring over 500 artworks from Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo III and Diablo IV, this book features many noteworthy artworks created for Blizzard Entertainment’s iconic action RPG, which has given generations of fans everlasting nightmares.”
We could be seeing an official announcement in November.
