Even More PlayStation Exclusives Could Arrive to PC in Future

Recently, many games originally labelled as an “exclusive” aren’t as exclusive as they once were.  Take for example the studio Quantic Dreams, once exclusive to the PlayStation brand, has had the likes of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls arrive to PC, with Detroit: Become Human to follow in the near future.  The fantastic and challenging Cuphead, was labelled as an Xbox “console” exclusive, but is now available for the Nintendo Switch.

The yet to be released Death Stranding, the first game from famed developer Hideo Kojima since his messy divorce from Konami, is one of the worst kept secrets with just about everyone knowing that Death Stranding will also come to PC at some point.

So when speaking to Bloomberg, Shawn Layden, Chairman of Sony’s Worldwide Studios has indicated that PlayStation are considered bringing certain first-party games to a “wider install base” with the PC as the likely destination.  It seems that multiplayer games are the most likely, especially as we move into the age of cross-platform titles as Layden implied that “multiplayer titles designed to be played on personal computer” would be the target.
