Ewan McGregor May Return For Obi-Wan Star Wars Series

We all know by now that Star Wars is going absolutely nowhere, despite fears that Lucasfilm’s acquisition by Disney was going to be the death of the beloved franchise.

With a new set of movies nearly completed and a butt-tonne of new Star Wars games on the horizon, the series hasn’t looked this good in a while, which would make it the perfect time for the return of the one and only Obi-Wan, right? Right?!

Apparently so, as The Hollywood Reporter has said that iconic Obi-Wan actor, Ewan McGregor is “in negotiations to reprise the role in a Kenobi-centered series for Disney+.”

Similarly, Deadline has also reported that the “actor is in talks about reprising his role as the heartfelt but headstrong Jedi Master known as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a yet-to-be-titled Disney+ series.”

Colour me excited! Especially if it’s a live-action series, and not animated…

It’s been a long time since new Obi-Wan graced our screens, and it’s going to be a seriously big deal for fans of the original movies.

Until we hear more about a Disney+ series we’ve still got the upcoming video game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, to look forward to.

“The Empire won’t stop until every Jedi is purged from the galaxy. As a young Padawan on the run, the odds are against you—but the Force is with you. Discover the Jedi abilities you must master to survive,” says EA’s official description of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Jedi Fallen Order follows a young Padawan in the Dark Times, the period that follows Order 66 (otherwise known as Clone Protocol 66).

Respawn appears to have taken a bit of a Naughty Dog approach to Fallen Order, showcasing some Nathan Drake-like terrain-navigating and wall-climbing in the gameplay demos shown earlier this year.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will release November 11, 2019. Will you be picking this one up?
