CD Projekt Red is gearing up for the launch of its dystopian RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, and the details just keep on coming.
Due out in September, Cyberpunk is already slated to be one of the biggest games of 2020 thanks to the development teams’ knowledge, experience and skill.
The expected big sales almost definitely have nothing to do with new info on the game that suggests we could be seeing the most raunchy in-game sex scenes ever.
During a community event in Warsaw last year [via Redditor Shavod], CD Projekt Red confirmed the game’s sexytime scenes will be solely in first person, along with all the other cutscenes in the game.
The team also admitted that “a lot of mocap [motion capture]” has been used for the sex scenes, meaning we’re going to be getting as close to the real deal as a video game should probably allow.
Sadly for some, Keanu Reeves’ character isn’t going to be a romance option in the game, which makes sense when you consider that his character, Johnny Silverhand, is actually less of a fully-fledged person and more of a side-effect of a chip that’s added into your characters head.
You hear his voice a lot and you’ll see him guiding you through the game and pointing you in the right direction, but he’s not exactly in a very easy-to-mount form. At least from what I’ve seen of the game.
In an interview with Video Games Chronicle, Cyberpunk level designer Max Pears said: “Keanu plays a crucial role in the game, but as for the option to romance him, I don’t believe you can.”
Sorry, folks.
