There’s nothing that warms the heart more than a touching Twitch moment, and pro gamer Aydan paying his mum’s debts definitely qualifies.
As spotted by PCGamesN, Aydan Conrad decided to stream the moment he called his mum to tell her that he’d used money earned from streaming to pay off her school debts.
Aydan, who has 1.4 million followers on Twitch, can be seen grinning in the video as his mum responds to the news in pure disbelief. She earns bonus mum points from me because she gave the Typical Mum answer of saying she “didn’t need anything” when Aydan mentioned a present.
You can check out the touching moment for yourself in the video below, and don’t forget to drop Aydan a sub.
Aydan shot to popularity for his Fortnite streams, and the pro gamer is clearly putting his success to good use.
The gamer recently shared a snapshot of him scoring second place in a Fortnite tournament. The win garnered him a very tidy $1,000 USD.
In other Fortnite news, the battle royale game is now recognised as a high school and college sport thanks to a partnership between esports company PlayVS, and Epic Games.
Together the team will bring competitive league play to colleges and high schools with the aim of making esports as school-friendly as the likes of football and basketball.
Those looking to participate will be placed in a league, where they’ll then compete with other schools and colleges to try and scoop the big win in the popular battle royale game. “Any device” can be used to take part, but PlayVS notes that “players must still compete on campus with a coach.”
The first season of the league will begin in just a few weeks time, starting on March 2. Registration is open until February 17 for high schools, and February 24 for colleges and universities.
