Esports team FaZe Clan has taken on a new member, and she’s the first female addition to the team.
13-year-old Soleil Wheeler, otherwise known as EwOk, has officially signed on to the elite team, which features some of the biggest names in the world of competitive gaming.
The Fortnite professional isn’t just flying the flag high for young gamers and women in gaming, but she’s also a particularly special addition to FaZe Clan as she’s the team’s first deaf player and the first deaf Twitch Partner.
Wheeler joined FaZe Clan following her appearance in the first ever Fortnite World Cup, in which the teen took on the Pro-Am Duos.

During the Fortnite World Cup 16-year-old Kyle ‘Bugha‘ Giersdorf managed to steal first place and nab himself a cool $3 million USD along the way.
Bugha absolutely annihilated the competition, nearly doubling the score of the second-placing contestant. He landed the top spot with a total of 59 points, with second place scoring 33.
It took six serious intense sessions for the game to get got, but Bugha absolutely pulled it out of the bag with this one.
Fellow professional players Nyhrox and Aqua also scored big during the World Cup, ending up with $1.5 million after taking first place in the duos championship.
With such huge and young talent on show, the world of competitive esports just got a lot more interesting!
