Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may still be a few months from release, but Activision is keen to make sure we’re not going to forget about it anytime soon.
Activision will be showcasing a first look at the game’s yet-to-be-revealed multiplayer on August 1, but the company hasn’t shied away from teasing us while we wait.
Over on Twitter, the official Call of Duty account shared a clip of what appears to be the new video opening for multiplayer matches, and it’s looking seriously impressive.

The clip, which shows players floating across the map in a helicopter, seems to suggest that Modern Warfare is going to be a cinematic masterpiece. Let’s just hope the game plays as smoothly as it looks!
We already know quite a lot about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, with Activision and developer Infinity Ward promising a grittier, darker and more realistic entry to the CoD franchise than those we’ve seen in the past.
The game will apparently really test your morals as well as your shooting skills, and with ex-Naughty Dog developers on board with production, it sounds like we might be getting the biggest narrative-driven CoD in the franchise’s history.

The game’s official description states: “In the visceral and dramatic single-player story campaign, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare pushes boundaries and breaks rules the way only Modern Warfare can.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be launching for PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 25, 2019.
