Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is set for release on PlayStation 5 sometime next year. It will be the second instalment in the three-part remake by Square Enix.
First announced back in June 2022, Rebirth will continue on from the Final Fantasy 7 remake and its InterMISSION DLC which was released back in 2020.
However, for those who haven’t played those but wish to dive into Rebirth, there are “preparations” being made to make that possible.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Release Date
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is set to release on February 29, 2024 for PlayStation 5.
“After escaping from the dystopian city of Midgar,” reads the synopsis, “Cloud and his friends set out on a journey across the planet. New adventures await in a vibrant and vast world – sprint across grassy plains on a Chocobo and explore expansive environments.”
The newest trailer shown during yesterday’s State of Play showed a peek at the game’s new areas with news it will feature a “multifaceted world with a high degree of freedom”. So much freedom that the game will be available on two discs.
Twin Pack & Collector’s Edition
With its release, Square Enix will be releasing a Twin Pack which will feature both Rebirth and the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. This is the graphically enhanced version of its original 2020 release.
For fans who want to splash the cash, Square Enix are also offering a Collector’s Edition for a staggering $350. It will feature:
