It’s quite something to get yourself banned from Fortnite, but developer Epic Games is starting to get more and more trigger-happy when it comes to handing out punishments and even the professional players aren’t safe.
One of the biggest names in gaming has just lost a player, as FaZe clan member Jarvis has been slapped with a life-long Fortnite ban. It’s reported that Jarvis’ ban is a direct result of using an aimbot during non-competitive games, as well as hacking in Creative Mode and Solos [via Dexerto].

In a tear-filled YouTube video, Jarvis expresses his sadness at the ban, claiming it was simply for using the aimbot.
The video is, at the time of writing, the number 11 top trending video for YouTube’s gaming genre, and has close to 4.5 million views.
Despite its impressive view numbers, the video has a massive 61 thousand dislikes right now.
Twitter’s The Fortnite Guy has suggested that the true issue that led to the lengthy ban was Jarvis hacking in Creative Mode and Solos for the purpose of making videos for YouTube.
The ban has been met with a lot of outrage in the Fortnite and pro gaming communities, with people divided over whether or not the ban is “fair.”
Some players have spoken out to say the punishment from Epic Games is completely deserved, while some people have branded it the “biggest overreaction” in Fortnite’s history.
As other members of FaZe clan step forward to show their support for Jarvis, it’s not clear whether Epic Games will remove the life-long ban, or keep it enforced.

Is Epic Games right to crack down on the big names in Fortnite as well as the smaller gamers, or is the company just trying to prove a point in the worst way possible?
