Fortnite’s Mysterious Purple Cube Has Changed Once Again

Fortnite‘s weird purple cube has everyone talking, and the weirdest thing was that it was rolling across the map randomly.

However, that’s just changed as it now has a low-gravity dome around it.

A Reddit user posted about the cube moving, stating: “The ideal timeframe for it to stay in one place is 24 hours (a nice round number).

“I believe it started the gravity dome at around 16:59 EDT (?) yesterday, so be ready at that time today in case it begins to move again.

“My theory is it will do the same pattern of movement until the season ends (several days of movement, one day of immobility while making another rune doing something similar to this gravity dome), at which point it will reach the lake it’s supposedly heading to (which is either Loot Lake or the lake beneath Viking Village) and do some massive season-ending event.”

This comes after a couple of players managed to get inside, and disappointingly it was empty. Although that’s not unexpected.

It looks like the addition of the purple cube has gotten everyone asking just one question – what the hell is it?!

We Managed to get inside it (and it was as expected) from r/FortNiteBR

As we know, the purple cube is bouncy. So this anomaly happened while they were having fun on the cube.

Gsonicify said: “It looked like my friend bumped into me right as I was bouncing up. Somehow this f*cked up the Cube’s physics and it let me pass through,

“After that for some reason the collision with it was also pretty messed up.”

The cube is currently still rolling its way through the desert, but God knows where.

What do you think the cube could be? Only time will tell…

Eager Redditers have been researching the path of the cube, with co-ordinates and everything!

A Reddit user on the ever-growing ‘Tracking The Cube Event’ Megathread posted the following:

“Assuming the cube continues to move every 1hr43mins, here are today’s move times:

“Pacific (UTC-7): 12:16:58, 1:59:49, 3:42:40, 5:25:32, 7:08:23, 8:51:15, 10:34:06

“Eastern (UTC-4): 1:34:06, 3:16:58, 4:59:49, 6:42:41, 8:25:32, 10:08:24, 11:51:15

“BST (UTC+1): 1:25:32, 3:08:23, 4:51:15, 6:34:06, 8:16:58, 9:59:49, 11:42:41

“AWST/China (UTC+8): 1:34:06, 3:16:58, 4:59:49, 6:42:41, 8:25:32, 10:08:24, 11:51:15

“AEST (UTC+10): 12:08:23, 1:51:15, 3:34:06, 5:16:58, 6:59:49, 8:42:41, 10:25:32

“Edit: It looks like the cube is now moving every 1hr43 minutes, so these times will be somewhat off. This may continue to shift.”

We wonder when the mystery of the cube will be revealed? Maybe just in time for the launch of the game’s new season?
