The trailer for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 has just landed, and it’s chock full with everything under the sea – including Jason Momoa’s Aquaman.
As expected, Fortnite’s new Season – which is called Splashdown – is going all nautical, but what we didn’t expect to see was Momoa’s Aquaman.
Aquaman has been given the full Fortnite treatment (though if you ask me, he doesn’t look too much like Momoa). Still, that DC Aquaman branding is hard to miss, all but confirming that yeah, this new character is based off Momoa’s portrayal of the character.
The Aquaman cameo is hard to miss, but the true role of Aquaman in Season 3 has yet to be unveiled.
The official description for the new Season from Epic Games reads as follows: “The Island has flooded, there are new areas to explore, Marauders to take on and… sharks to ride? Survive more than just the Storm.
“Adapt to the new flooded way of life on the Island. Watch your back! Defend yourself from new Marauders as they crash down onto the island and challenge your survival. There’s plenty more to discover in Season 3 dive in now!”

Along with Momoa comes a brand new gameplay system, which comes in the form of Marauders. They’ll be landing onto the island to make your life a misery, but in a fun way.
Epic explains of the new mechanic: “Defend yourself from new Marauders as they crash down onto the island and challenge your survival.”
Meanwhile you can now catch a ride on a shark by hooking your fishing rod up to one of the creatures and using it to jump over obstacles.
