Forza Horizon 5 has reached over one million players even before the game was officially released. Talk about a speedy performance!
Forza Horizon 5 was released on November 5th for those that purchased the Premium/Deluxe Edition or by picking up the Premium Edition add-on via Xbox Game Pass. For the rest of us, the game was only released today (officially).
Yet, despite not officially releasing until November 9th, Forza Horizon 5 still managed to reach over one million players. News of the impressive numbers was revealed by the Twitter user and streamer SnapBlastPlay.
At the time, the in-game player numbers revealed by SnapBlastPlay amassed to 1.2 million pre-launch. Those numbers will surely grow from today as more people can access the open-world racer.
In comparison at launch, as claimed in the tweet, PS5 exclusives Returnal had around 500k players at launch, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with 1.2 million, and finally Demon’s Souls with 1.4 million players at launch.
Forza Horizon 5 has even topped the Steam charts
Furthermore, as shared by Benji-Sales, Forza Horizon 5 even reached the top of the podium on the Steam best-selling charts. Again, this was even before the game had officially been released.
In our review of Forza Horizon 5, we said it is “the best game in the series, and could well be the best game on Xbox right now.”
