Esteemed actor and icon Dame Diana Rigg has passed away, as reported by the BBC.
The veteran actor, best known for her role as Emma Peel in the televised series The Avengers, and as the quick-witted and sharp-tongued Olenna Tyrell in HBO’s Game of Thrones, was age 82.
According to the BBC, Rigg’s agent has released the following statement: “She died peacefully early this morning. She was at home with her family who have asked for privacy at this difficult time.”
