Red Dead Redemption 2 players have been hard at work trolling Tahiti by leaving fake reviews for the island on Google.
Video you'll love from around the web
Tahiti is, of course, a pretty darn important mango-picking place in the game, though I’m not going to give too much away for those who’ve yet to play the iconic Western.
Frustrated Red Dead Redemption 2 players have taken to Google to leave their own reviews of the French Polynesian island thanks to the events of the Rockstar game, and it’s pretty funny stuff, although probably very confusing for those actually looking for reviews on the holiday destination.
A user apparently named Arthur Morgan has left a one-star review of the island, writing: “My friend Dutch was really looking forward to it and brought his friend along, however he ended up landing in the island ‘Guarma.’ He told me it was a traumatic experience and would not recommend it.”
Another *ahem* friend of Dutch, left a much more favourable five-star review, adding: “Me and my husband Dutch went here in ‘99! Absolutely breathtaking! We went farming for mangoes.”
One particularly good five-star review reads: “Before me and my friend Dutch, Arthur, and Lenny robbed this trolly station, Dutch said that there were Tahitians that lived on Tahiti. HE WAS RIGHT. (Update) Don’t go… got Cholera and Tuberculosis.”
At the time of writing, there appears to be more reviews from Red Dead Redemption players than from people who’ve actually visited the island.
Thankfully, the majority of the troll reviews are positive ones, so it’s unlikely that island of Tahiti will actually suffer from the online prank.
Don’t blame Tahiti for Dutch’s poor life choices!
