A new job listing on the Sucker Punch Productions website seems to suggest that Ghost of Tsushima 2 is already in the works.
As spotted by Reddit, the job advertisement calls for a Combat Designer. Tsushima players will already know how combat is a key aspect of the original PS4 title.

In Ghost of Tsushima, players are given a choice in how they play. Gamers can opt for direct combat, offering a more traditional Samurai approach, or sneak in the shadows like a Shinobi.
The open position for a Combat Designer asks potential candidates: “Do you dissect the combat and core systems of all games you play? Do you delight in knowing the details of attack or parry timing and count frames? Then we would like to talk to you!”

The requirements of the Combat Designer position are to: “prototype, polish and balance enemies, player abilities and progression systems.”
However it’s the experience requirements which strongly indicate that the role is for a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. Candidates “Must have played Ghost of Tsushima and understand its core combat systems.”

Obviously this job listing doesn’t outright say that any would-be candidate is to help develop Ghost of Tsushima 2. At the same time, it makes it quite obvious that the role is for Tsushima-like game – and what else could it be?
Assuming that this position of Combat Designer is for Ghost of Tsushima 2 it’s likely to be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive. It’s likely still many years away.
