God Of War Director Responds To Rumours Of New PS5 Game

Director of God of War, Cory Barlog, has responded to rumours that he’s already working on another unannounced PS5 game.

The video game auteur took to Twitter over the weekend to respond to claims that he’s teasing a new PS5 title that isn’t God of War Part 2 (or whatever it might be called).

As noted by ComicBook, some fans believed a space game might be coming from Barlog, after he changed to social media location to “deep space.”

However, if you were hoping that Kratos might be heading to space (or that we might be expecting a new IP from Santa Monica Studio) then you’re out of luck.

Barlog was quit to shut down the rumours, retweeting the article with a simple and straightforward “no.” Boo.

It’s not too surprising to hear that one AAA game is enough for Mr. Barlog to be working on right now. Following on from 2018’s God of War is going to be no easy task, and we all know how stressful the creation of the hit was thanks to the “Raising Kratos” developmental documentary which released last year.

Officially announced to the world during the September State of Play event from Sony, the next God of War game is still being teased with the words we’ve now been hearing for the past two years: Ragnarok Is Coming.

That’s pretty much all we know about the game so far, with even its title still being kept under wraps. The next outing of Kratos and company will be in 2021, so hopefully we won’t have too long to wait to see a full cinematic trailer or even some gameplay. In case you missed it, check out the announcement teaser below.
