Supergiant Games has revealed the upcoming Hades 2 will enter early access sometime in 2024. Here’s everything we know so far.
In a development update posted yesterday, the developers revealed avid fans can get stuck into the highly-anticipated Hades sequel in early access sometime in Q2 2024. Expected anytime between April and June, this will give players the opportunity to try before they inevitably buy.
Hades 2 Early Access Release Date
As mentioned, Hades 2 will go into early access in Q2 of 2024.
It will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store with Supergiant assuring fans there will be news on an exact date, pricing and system requirements closer to the time.
“You may be wondering, why can’t we launch in Early Access, like, right now?!” The blog post reads.
“The game looked pretty far along in the first trailer! The reason is, Hades II will have at least as much content from day one in Early Access as the original game did back when it launched in Early Access on Steam.
And, even though Early Access inherently means a game is not yet complete, we still want to do everything we can to make sure it is worth your while as soon as you can play it in any capacity.”

Technical Test
In the same blog post, it was also revealed a technical test would be going ahead before the game enters early access. The limited sample of players will be tasked with finding and technical issues in order to improve the early access experience.
“This technical test will contain much less content than what’s in store for the Early Access launch, and likely be limited only to a relatively small subset of players who express interest in participating.”
We can also expect more news about this test closer to its release.
“We don’t yet know exactly how long it will take us to get to v1.0 of Hades 2,” Supergiant concluded. “For now, our focus is to keep building core content — environments, characters, weapons, Boons, story events, music, and more — as we gear up for our Technical Test and Early Access launch in Q2 this coming year.”
