Fans were treated to another look at what they can expect from the upcoming Marvel’s Spider Man 2 at yesterday’s State of Play.
Set for launch on October 20, Marvel’s Spider Man 2 is an action-adventure game developed by Insomniac. A sequel to both Marvel’s Spider Man and Marvel’s Spider Man: Miles Morales, this one follows the pair as they go head to head with some well-known enemies.
Now thanks to Sony’s State of Play event, we now know what else we can expect to see next month.
What’s new for Marvel’s Spider Man 2?
Insomniac Games’ creative director Bryan Intihar took the time to show fans a bunch more features they can expect in the sequel.
Although we were already told this back in June, we were reminded that the city of New York and its surrounding boroughs has doubled in size.
We also saw another look at the new wingsuit that can be used alongside Spider Man’s webs to make traversal even quicker.
Itihar also showed viewers how effortless it will be to switch between Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Additionally, when using the friendly neighbourhood Spider Man app, NPCs can ask a specific Spider Man for help.
There will be improvements to the UI with the goal to stop players relying too much on menus.
Last but not least, there is a new fast-travel system which switches areas without any loading screens.
For those wanting to customise Miles and Peter, they will have access to 65 suits to unlock and wear.
