The 2022 Emmy Awards took place on Monday evening this week, with some surprising wins for various shows.

Some of the biggest winners included Squid Game, Succession and Ted Lasso. Zendaya also became the youngest star in history to win two Emmys.

Succession took home the award for Best Drama Series. It fought off competition from some of the most highly-acclaimed and popular shows of the year, including Stranger Things, Better Call Saul and Squid Game.

Zendaya won Best Actress in a Drama Series for her performance in Euphoria. This makes her the youngest person to win two Emmys, a historic moment for the young actor.

Lee Jung-jae took home Best Actor in a Drama Series for Squid Game. The show took the internet by storm when it released on Netflix, becoming one of the most popular shows on the streaming service. However, many expected Better Call Saul’s Bob Odenkirk to take home the award for his incredible performance in that series.
