Another month, another round of new games arriving on PlayStation Plus. Thankfully, September seems to be a much more lucrative month than August with some heavy hitters landing on the service.
Last month, PlayStation Plus subscribers were given Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2 on the PS4. PS5 owners were also given a copy of Hunter’s Arena: Legends, a melee focused battle royale game that had been in early access on PC for some time.
They weren’t bad games, however, PlayStation Plus subscribers have received better offerings in the past. July gave players a PS5 copy of ‘A Plague Tale Innocence’ alongside ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’.
With that said, this month’s offerings are looking far more entertaining as we enter the busy release period for games.
PlayStation Plus Games – September 2021
The headline game for PS5 users this month is Overcooked! All You Can Eat. Sony usually bundles a PS5 game every month, and bundling Overcooked! in September sounds like a great move in bringing more players to its community. PS4 users can also enjoy Predator: Hunting Grounds and Hitman 2.
Overcooked! All You Can Eat saw a PS5 release earlier on this year, which compiled the first two Overcooked! games together in one neat package for next-gen consoles. It also ‘remastered’ the content from the first Overcooked! into the second game’s engine, and enabled online multiplayer for the title. You can grab this title either directly from the PS5 to redeem this on the PS+ service – but if you don’t currently own the console yet, you can also grab it from the PlayStation store website on a PC.
Also included this month is Predator: Hunting Grounds for the PS4. Predator is a multiplayer title based on the original movies where a squad of soldiers face off against a player controlling the dangerous Predator. Fans of Dead By Daylight may want to try this out!
Finally for this month, we have Hitman 2 as well. This is a super stylish sandbox game where you are tasked with eliminating a set of targets in whatever way you see fit. Grab disguises, get close to the target and pull off the perfect assassination. The first Hitman game was also available for PlayStation Plus back in February 2019. If you own that game, you can also import the levels into Hitman 2 with all the new features this game introduces.
All of these games will be available throughout the month of September on PlayStation Plus. Will you be picking them up? Let us know across our social channels.
