Original Story 06/10/22: Hideo Kojima is once again teasing his new game. It’s currently not known what this new game is, but Kojima fans are excited nonetheless.
Legendary developer Hideo Kojima first teased the unannounced game during the week of the Tokyo Game Show 2022 in September. An image was tweeted featuring a silhouette of what appears to be a woman with the words “Who am I?”.
Actor and Metal Gear Solid fan, José Mellinas channelled their inner detective and it is believed that the mysterious silhouette could be actress Elle Fanning (Super 8, Robot Chicken).
Rumours began circulating that Kojima was teasing a sequel to Death Stranding. At this time, a Death Stranding sequel hasn’t been confirmed. Well, at least not officially.
Is Hideo Kojima teasing Death Stranding 2?
However, Kojima is at his teasing antics once more, this time teasing the same silhouette from TGS 2022, but this time it is accompanied by different text. Along with the silhouette image, the developer said: “The answer to “WHO” at TGS will be in the next “WHERE”.
While the tweet is typically cryptic, there’s no telling when the “next WHERE” will take place. That being said, if the “WHERE” is being teased at an upcoming video games convention, a likely destination would be The Game Awards in December.
What else could Kojima be teasing?
Of course, as is typical with Hideo Kojima, we can only speculate on his riddles. While it’s possible that he could be teasing Death Stranding 2, he could also be teasing his Xbox exclusive project. It could even be possible that the developer is teasing his rumoured horror game. Only time will tell.
