Hideo Kojima Teases Next Game With Suggestive Tweets

The man, the myth and the legend that is Hideo Kojima has seemingly begun work on his next project. In a series of tweets, Kojima appears to be back at work, sharing snaps of him socially distancing and getting back to the drawing board with a new project.

Though there’s been no formal confirmation of Kojima’s next plans, it looks as though another Death Stranding-related project is on the cards, perhaps suggesting DLC is coming.

The first tweet shows an out-of-pod BB figure alongside a pretty messy desk. Kojima captioned the image: “Here’s my way of designing new title w/Yoji [Shinkawa, lead artist at Kojima Productions]. 1st we discuss the setting for each character, the background, the world, the color, the characteristics, the roles, the images, ideas and keyword going back&forth via E-mail. WFH & 20 mins direct discussion. Mostly texting via iPhone.”

This was then followed up with a tweet featuring Yoji Shinkawa himself, in which Kojima confirmed the duo are working on “concept art design etc.”

Having a look at some of the things featured in all three of the images (plus the tweet below) seems to show Death Stranding themes once again. First is the unmissable BB, who’s presumably lending some inspiration to the project.

You can also see some allusions to space crafts and spaceships, especially in the following tweet.

Of course, nothing’s been announced or confirmed right now, so this is pure speculation. We already know Kojima’s funding for his next project has been secured, so it’s looking pretty likely that whatever we’re seeing in these tweets are a solid hint at what’s to come. That being said, if you know Kojima, it’s safe to say that nothing is as it seems!

Death Stranding 2? Death Stranding DLC? My bet’s on one of these! Hopefully we won’t have long to wait to find out more.
