Hogwarts Legacy suffers delay on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch

Hogwarts Legacy has suffered another delay for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. Thankfully, it’s not all bad for everyone.

Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One as well as Nintendo Switch. However, some might be pleased to learn that the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will still release as currently scheduled.

Hogwarts Legacy is delayed on some formats

“Hogwarts Legacy will launch on April 4, 2023 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and on July 25, 2023 for Nintendo Switch,” tweeted the game’s official Twitter account.

“The team is looking forward to bringing you the game and we want to deliver the best possible game experience across all platforms.”

Initially, along with PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the last-gen and Switch versions of Hogwarts Legacy would release a few days earlier if the Deluxe Edition was purchased.

Unfortunately, the Deluxe Edition for PS4 and Xbox One will release on April 4th, 2023. However, it will then release for Nintendo Switch on July 25^th.

The Deluxe Edition for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will still of course come with its bonus DLC. The DLC included in the Deluxe Edition is:

Will the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions be released as intended?

Yes, the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Hogwarts Legacy will still be released as intended. Assuming they suffer no further delays.

The Hogwarts Legacy release date for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S is February 10^th, 2023. Unless you pick up the Deluxe Edition which grants 72-hour early access. In this case, your release date will be February 7^th.
