Hollow Knight: Silksong Dev Reveals Launch Info About The Game

While it wasn’t the update fans might have wanted, we did get another look at Hollow Knight: Silksong at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.

If there’s one thing you can count on when hanging out in the chat of a video game news livestream, it’s mentions of Hollow Knight: Silksong. The fervor that fans have for the game almost makes it the indie version of Elden Ring. At least in terms of how badly everyone wants to know more about it.

Well, we did get to see a bit of Silksong at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase yesterday (June 12). The trailer mostly showed off more of the game in action, as Hornet pulls off a variety of incredibly cool looking moves. Technically the biggest reveal is the fact that Silksong is coming to Xbox at all, so that’s great news for Xbox fans.

what else was confirmed?

Not only is it coming to Xbox though, it will be available on Game Pass day one. Which again acts as a reminder that Game Pass can honestly be an incredibly good deal.

But really, the biggest news about Silksong wasn’t technically mentioned in the latest trailer itself. One of the big points Xbox made at the start of the presentation is that every game featured would be released in the next 12 months. You see where we’re going with this?

That’s right, even though we don’t have a specific release date yet, at the very least we have a 12 month window. Again, it might not be the release date that everyone wanted to hear. But it does help just a little bit to know we’re not too far off from the upcoming metroidvania.

Presumably this is the news that Team Cherry was talking about last month. Maybe if we’re lucky, the team have more to show us soon.
